Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Aja and I am a storyteller. I believe that every person has a unique story waiting to be told, and as we all know behind every picture is a story “worth a thousand words.” There’s something magical about photography; you can capture that one moment, and all of the emotions that go with it, and hold on to it long after it passes. As a mother of three small children, I love capturing real, authentic life. When my children are grown, it’s not going to be the perfect, formal portraits that are going to bring back memories. It’s the beauty of the everyday…the quiet times and the not-so-quiet, the laughter, the chaos, the love that we share. This is the stuff that memories are made of. When we get together, I want you to feel comfortable and be yourself. Wear your favorite outfit–the one that makes you feel beautiful. Let the kids bring along their favorite toy. Say “yes” to the pink tutu or the superhero cape. Laugh together, have fun together, tell your story. This is where the real beauty is. Let’s get together soon!

Webster Family | St. Louis, MO Photographer

I’ve been sitting on these photos for awhile, but now that Christmas presents have been opened, I finally get to post them! These were from a mini-session with my friend Carly and her family. :)

New Baby Goodies

Just sharing some of the goodies from my latest newborn session. :)

Talula Rue | Kansas City, MO Photographer

So excited this little one is here! She is such a doll baby! I really enjoyed this session. Happy parents, chocolate pudding and smiling babies in cute cloth diapers make for a great day. :)

Gabe+Katie=Talula | Columbia, MO Photographer

I’ve known Gabe & Katie for a long time and they have the most amazing love story. Now, they are adding another chapter with sweet baby Talula, who is due to arrive in August. Isn’t Katie the most beautiful expectant momma you’ve ever seen? Love these two (I mean three!).

Best Friends | Columbia, MO Photographer

Ashley contacted me a few weeks ago to set up a session with her best friend, Korryn. They brought lots of goofy props and they were so laid back and fun. :)
